IMPORTANT REMINDER

It is that time of the year again when your US Figure Skating and Dallas Figure Skating Club memberships are expiring.  Your membership expires June 30, 2007.  In order to compete at any US Figure Skating sanctioned competition, including Regionals, you must be a member of US Figure Skating.  Your DFSC membership includes your US Figure Skating membership plus it qualifies you to participate in all home club activities and a subscription to US Figure Skating magazine.

 

DFSC Basic Skills Membership Renewal Forms are due by August 31, 2007.  Click this link for information and tips regarding figure skating.

REMEMBER:  In order to qualify for any club assistance for Qualifying Competitions, your membership must be postmarked on or before JUNE 30, 2007.

Programs
Albertson's Food Stores and Tom Thumb Food Stores both offer DFSC fund raising opportunities.  Forms and additional information are available now by contacting Steve Pottenger.  For those who do not yet have a card, now is the perfect time to sign up.  Please contact Steve Pottenger to get more information.  The program will send a donation to the DFSC whenever you show your card while purchasing groceries at any Albertson's or Tom Thumb grocery store.  There is no cost to you and a great benefit to the club.  

DALLAS FIGURE SKATING CLUB
2007-2008 (non-Basic Skills) Membership Categories and Benefits

DFSC (Family & Individual): Full skating membership, entitled to full benefits and privileges as follows (to qualify for Individual, person applying must be age 16 or older):
-USFS Membership (includes one subscription to Skating Magazine).
-DFSC Membership.
-DFSC Newsletter.
-DFSC Directory.
-"DFSC" discounted test fees (see test application).
-Complimentary USFS test patches for tests passed with DFSC.
-"DFSC" qualifying competition assistance for Home Club skaters after one full year of membership, amount as set by current Board of Directors, and membership dues paid in full by 6/30/07.
-Voting privileges and eligible to hold office, as defined in DFSC Bylaws.

Sustaining: An individual who materially contributes to the welfare of the DFSC, such as officials and non-skating persons. Entitled to benefits as follows:
-USFS Membership (includes subscription to Skating Magazine).
-DFSC Membership.
-DFSC Newsletter.
-DFSC Directory.
-Voting privileges, as defined by DFSC Bylaws.

Coach: Open to coaching professionals only. Entitled to benefits as follows:
-USFS Membership (includes subscription to Skating Magazine).
-DFSC Membership.
-DFSC Newsletter.
-DFSC Directory.
-Complimentary participation in any Excellence in Skating seminars or similar skating development programs.

 

Associate: Open to non-Dallas FSC Home club members. Entitled to benefits as follows:
-DFSC Membership.
-DFSC Newsletter.
-DFSC Directory.
-May participate in seminars, exhibitions, parties, mini-competitions.

-Discounted test fees (see test application).
