DFSC Annual Picnic and Awards Event

 

Award descriptions and nomination information:

 

Act of Kindness: Please send a description of the act, place it occurred, and an explanation of why this skater or volunteer should receive the award.

 

Act of Good Sportsmanship: Please send a description of the act, place it occurred, and an explanation of why this skater should receive the award

 

Most Considerate: Please describe in three sentences how your nominated skater has demonstrated consideration of others on the ice and off.

 

Most Improved:  One for each age level Elementary; Middle School and High School.  Please send three sentences describing why your candidate should be selected.

 

Scholastic Honors Award: For skaters who have shown skating dedication combined with a commitment to academic excellence. Please provide a copy of the latest report card. The skater must also write a short essay, in their own words on this topic:  “How Skating Makes Me A Better Student”. This award will be presented in the following categories: Elementary; Middle School; High School.  Please mail essay and supporting materials to Cathy Grygar, Dallas Figure Skating Club, 125 N. Forest Lane, Double Oak, TX 75077

Due date:  August 1, 2009.

 

 

Volunteer of the year: Please send a brief explanation why you think your nominated volunteer displays dedication to the DFSC and a courtesy to others while working DFSC hosted events.

 

Skaters(s) Of The Year:  Voted on by DFSC Board of Directors.

Body of the e-mail or letter: your explanation as outlined

***Scholastic Honors Award Nominees (with student essay and copy of report card) must be sent by US Mail as noted above in the description.

 

 

 

 

All Nominations/materials must be submitted for consideration by August 1, 2009.

 

 

All presentations will be made during the Annual Club Picnic. On August 15, 2009.  Please mark your calendars now!
